Introduction

Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome is a syndrome that affects the development of blood vessels, soft tissues, and bones.

Symptoms

Typical symptoms include hemangiomas (abnormal benign growths on the skin consisting of masses of blood vessels) and varicose veins.

Causes

Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome is caused by mutations in the PIK3CA gene.
